In 2019, when Frank and Elle Heiligenstein purchased the funeral home, a multi-part renovation took place to upgrade the entire funeral home. Elle felt that a cozy, peaceful funeral home was much better than a stark "facility" like feel, so she immediately began a total overhaul on the funeral home interior. All of the interior furniture was discarded and replaced with comfortable sofas, loveseats, seating and all new lighting. Elle chose to use Tiffany lamps and chandeliers throughout the funeral home to provide warmth, color and timeless elegance. Art is a large part of Elle's life and she chose to mix modern abstracts with classic works from the Renaissance period as well as hand drawn avian portraits and stunning nature photography to complete the funeral home's decor. Families and visitors have remarked at how well everything comes together to create a peaceful, dignified space for honoring loved ones.
