Tracy L. Nelson

Tracy L. Nelson, nee Smithson, 66 of Millstadt, IL passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday December 20, 2025. Tracy was born in East St. Louis, IL on July 11, 1959, to Ray and Doris (Niederberger) Smithson and her parents precede her in death.

Tracy grew up in East St. Louis and Belleville. She graduated from Belleville East High School. In her spare time, she loved caring for plants, watching the birds at her birdfeeder, and sitting in the sun. She had many pets over the years and loved caring for them.

Tracy is survived by her children: Nikki Nelson and Mark Nelson; her brother Mark Smithson, and her aunt Delores Turner, in addition to many friends.

Per Tracy’s wishes, no services will be held.
