Terrance W. Kwentus

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Terrance “Terry” William Kwentus, who peacefully passed away at his home in Belleville, Illinois, on July 9, 2026, at the age of 58, with his devoted wife, Amber, by his side.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Terry was lovingly raised by his mother, Linda, and his adoptive father, James Kwentus. He was a proud Lindbergh High School graduate who spent much of his career in the insurance industry before pursuing his passion for helping others through Criminal Justice and Social Work.

Terry will be remembered for his infectious personality, his ability to make friends wherever he went, and the genuine way he connected with people. Whether he was talking Cardinals baseball, cheering on the Blues, sharing stories, painting, or singing karaoke, Terry brought laughter, energy, and heart into every room he entered.

Throughout his life, Terry faced tremendous health challenges with incredible strength and determination. Even in the face of adversity, he refused to give up and continued to inspire those around him with his resilience and unwavering spirit.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Merle (Linda) Kwentus; his brother, Jeffrey “Jeff” Kwentus; and his daughter, Kellie Kwentus, who was welcomed into Heaven at birth.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Amber Kwentus; his father, James Kwentus; his children, TJ Kwentus, Steven Kwentus, and Kimmie Kwentus; his sister, Lori Francis and her husband, Dennis; his cherished grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and dear friends.

A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held on October 10, 2026, at Tower Grove Park. Additional details will be shared as they become available.
