Shirley Mae Waite of Waterloo, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at her home in Waterloo, Illinois, having attained the age of 83 years, 1 month and 15 days.
Born on May 13, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Elmer and Norma Bartels, nee Miller. She was united in marriage to Richard Waite on May 11, 1957 in East St. Louis, Illinois.
Shirley was a registered nurse, a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo, the Waterloo Garden Club and a volunteer at Morrison-Talbott Library.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Surviving are her children, Janet (Larry) May, Karen (Floyd) Erb, both of Waterloo, Illinois and Michelle (Leroy) Snow of Greentop, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jennifer May of Columbia, Illinois, Lindsay (Doug) Bucklew of Waterloo, Illinois, Jaime (Nick) Doerr, Brad Erb, both of Columbia, Illinois, Brittany Snow and Brenna Snow, both of Greentop, Missouri; her great-grandchildren, Demarcos Snow and Alana Bartin of Greentop, Missouri, many friends and her dog, Cody.
All services will be private.
