Scott A. Kilzer

Scott Allen Kilzer, 57, of Belleville, IL, gained his Angel Wings on Friday October 17, 2025, in Belleville, IL. Scott was born on April 4, 1968, in East St. Louis, IL to Robert M. and Carolyn Kay (Overmeyer) Kilzer and his father precedes him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Shirley Overmeyer and Claude and Golda Kilzer; his sister, Christi Lynn Swift; his cousin, Katie Titchenal and his aunt, Christine Foster. 

Scott grew up in Cahokia, IL and the family moved to Fairview Heights, IL when he was in high school. He graduated from Belleville West High School and then attended Belleville Area College. Scott worked for S.A.V.E. and also the Fairview Heights Police Department in his High School years. Scott was very smart and was known for his photographic memory. He loved to read and taught himself how to play the guitar. He loved to watch cooking shows in his spare time and loved a good meal. Sports were a passion, and Scott was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, especially Yadier Molina, The St. Louis Blues, The St. Louis City Soccer team and the NFL. Scott will be remembered as a loving son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and dear friend of many.

 Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Carolyn Kay Bridges, his brother, Paul (Colleen) Kilzer, his aunt, Sherry (Larry) Titchenal, his niece, Chelsea Kilzer, his nephews, Colin Kilzer and Aaron Jerashen; his cousins, Logan Keeney and Shawn Titchenal and his family, in addition to his extended family and friends. 

A celebration of Scott's life will be held on November 16, 2025 from 1:00pm-6:00pm at Danny's Pub, 5500 North Belt West, Belleville, IL 62226.
