Roger Bruce LaBruyere

Roger Bruce LaBruyere, 79, of Millstadt, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 10, 2025, in O’Fallon, IL. Roger was born on June 25, 1945, in Belleville, IL to Edward and Fiance (Conaway) LaBruyere and his parents precede him in death. Roger was the last of his seven siblings. He was also preceded in death by two nieces.

Roger grew up in Columbia, IL and enjoyed working on neighboring farms as a young man. He married the love of his life, Virginia “Vicky” (Hanke) LaBruyere on July 15, 1972, at Dupo Baptist Church and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage. They moved to Millstadt shortly after their marriage and began raising their family.

Roger worked hard all of his life. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to parades, picnics and car shows. He especially loved muscle cars. He was known to enjoy to occasional fishing trip and he also was a faithful lottery player. Most important to Roger was his family and all the time he was able to spend with them. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and dear friend of many.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Vicky LaBruyere, his children: Renee (Michael “Mick” Kirksey) LaBruyere, Chad LaBruyere and Laura (John “Johnny”) McWilliams, his grandchildren: Grace McWilliams, Wyatt Kirksey and Evan Kirksey in addition to nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Visitation for Roger will be held on Sunday June 22, 2025, from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Hoffen Funeral Home, 220 W. Washington St., Millstadt, IL. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Joan Mier officiating.
