Robert M. Rule

Robert Michael “Bob” Rule, of Millstadt, Illinois, passed away surrounded by family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Elroy and Joanne Rule, and his siblings, Barb Karban and Jim Rule.

Bob began his career with O’Neil Lumber in 1975, where he worked as a mechanic for several years. He later transitioned to Lyon Industries, where he served as a project manager before retiring in 2020.

Bob was known for his handiness and his genuine desire to help others. He possessed a remarkable wealth of knowledge in all aspects of building and repair, whether it involved home projects or automotive work. He was never intimidated by the size of a job or the challenges it might bring, and he took great pride in being someone others could rely on.

Above all else, Bob loved his family and always put them first. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren. His generosity, strength, and willingness to help will be remembered by all who knew him.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl (Taylor) Rule; his children, Joanne Radford, Ann Rule, Bobby Rule, Jody (Chris) Sedivy, and Jessica Rule; and his cherished grandchildren, Mason, Owen, Garrett, Taylor, Frank, Rosie, and Claire.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, there will be no funeral services held. The family will plan a celebration of life in the spring.
