Phyllis M. Fudge

Phyllis M. Fudge, nee Curtis, 81, of Waterloo, IL passed away peacefully on Thursday June 18, 2026, in Belleville, IL. She was born on May 9, 1945, in Peach Orchard, AR to Armey M. and Estelle B. (Tarwater) Curtis and her parents precede her in death.

Phyllis worked professionally as a hairdresser for many years. She managed the Jewel Box in Belleville for much of her career. Later, she owned and operated Marty’s Fudge Bar in Hecker, IL. Phyllis loved fishing and was a member of the Tri-County Bass Anglers of Belleville, IL. She also enjoyed travelling to Arkansas to visit her family and taking part in the 127 Yard Sale, which spanned 690 miles and 6 states. She was a member of Victory Family Church in Belleville, IL for many years. Most important to Phyllis was her family and the time she spent with them. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend of many.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, George B. Fudge; her daughters: Teresa (Dean) Huston and Marla (Bill) Dill; her grandchildren: Trenton Thompson, Addie Huston and Sarah Dill in addition to extended family and many friends.

Private burial will be held at a later date.
