Paul Edward Burke

Paul Edward Burke, 94 of Cahokia, Illinois passed away at his home on Tuesday November 19, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 1, 1925 in Coxton, Kentucky, he was the son of Bryan and Mary Burke and they precede him in death. Paul was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charlie and Wilbur Burke and his sisters, Ada Whittaker and Gertrude Mason.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Pam and Joe Morgan of Millstadt, Illinois and Kim and Mike Santoyo of St. Louis, Missouri. His brothers, Eric Burke of Belleville, Illinois and Bryan (Tadpole) Burke of St. Louis, Missouri, his grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Merritt of Millstadt, Illinois, Andy Santoyo of St. Louis, Missouri, and his great-grandchildren Isabella and Jackson Merritt also of Millstadt, Illinois.

Paul served his country honorably in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He was a devout Christian and a member of the Cahokia Church of God. In his spare time he enjoyed working on radios, especially Victrolas. He cherished all of the time he spent with his family.

Paul will be laid to rest with full military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri at a later date.
