Orville Leroy Blair, 67, of Millstadt, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday June 23, 2025, in Columbia, IL. Orville was born on March 4, 1958, in Evansville, IN to Raymond and Dorothy (Elmeier) Blair and his parents precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sisters: Joy Hart and Lois Gray.

Orville was born in Evansville, Indiana and then his family moved to Millstadt, IL in his early years. He graduated from Belleville West High School and soon began his career with Chrysler, the company he would devote his entire career to. For relaxation, he enjoyed jogging and walking around town. Once he became a grandfather, he loved attending all his grandchildren’s ballgames. He was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan and St. Louis Blues fan. Most of all, Orville enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend of many.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 21 years, Linda (Rist) Blair, his children: Brian (Jen) Blair, Michael (Adrina) Blair, Timothy (Shauna) Blair, Angela (Ryan) Schilling and Eric (Kimberly) Blair; his brother, Raymond Blair; his brothers-in-law, Roger (Dorene) Rist and Richard (Michelle) Rist; his grandchildren: Aiden Blair, Mason Blair, Carson Blair, Nolan Blair, Easton Blair, Landon Blair, Reid Schilling, Evalyn Blair, Alyssa Blair, Rhett Schilling, Brandon Piper and Michael Williams in addition to his extended family and many beloved friends.

A celebration of life is being planned for a future date.
