Shirley Mae Ruhmann, nee Riebeling, of Waterloo, Illinois, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. She had reached the age of 48 years, 6 months, and 14 days.
Shirley was a member of Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo, Illinois. She worked as a cook for various restaurants and food establishments throughout Monroe County.

Shirley was the daughter of Roy and Ina Mae Riebeling, nee, Marquardt. She married Dwight Ruhmann on February 14, 1986, in Belleville, Illinois.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father.

In addition to her mother and husband, Shirley is survived by her two sons, Troy Ruhmann and Travis (Special Friend, Taylor Philips) Ruhmann, both of Waterloo, Illinois; two sisters, Judy Lancaster, of Waterloo, Illinois, and Sandy (Chuck) Seacord, of Columbia, Illinois; three brothers Larry (Donna) Riebeling of Waterloo, Illinois, Brian (Debbie) Riebeling of Kilborn, Illinois, and Kent (Lisa) Riebeling of Millstadt, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
