Michael Benjamin Touchette, age 48, of Belleville, Illinois, tragically passed away on July 7, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and creativity.

Born on September 6, 1976, Michael was a lifelong resident of Belleville who touched the lives of many with his gentle spirit and thoughtful nature. He faced life’s challenges with courage and sincerity and was deeply loved by his family and friends.

Michael had a deep appreciation for music, art, and storytelling, and enjoyed spending time with those he loved. He was a lifelong sports enthusiast. He spent many childhood summers at Busch Stadium collecting autographs and building friendships with Major League Baseball players, memories he cherished deeply. His love for St. Louis sports extended to cheering on the Blues and St. Louis City SC, always proud to support his hometown teams. He was also a devoted fan of the Detroit Red Wings, following their games passionately and proudly representing their legacy.

He was a caring brother, a devoted son, and a cherished uncle. His wit, intelligence, and quiet sense of humor will be remembered by all who had the pleasure to know him.

Michael is preceded in death by his father Robert (Bob) Charles Touchette, his best friend. He was survived by his mother, Carole Lynn Touchette. He is also survived by his sister, Amy Touchette Brown (Michael Brown); his nieces and nephews, Madeleine, Annabelle, Chloe and Quintin Brown. Micheal also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

The family would like to thank those close to him who supported Michael throughout his life. In his memory, donations may be made to a local mental health advocacy organization.

A celebration of life will be planned at a future date.

Michael’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
