Michael Eugene Hobbs, Sr.

Michael E. Hobbs, Sr., 40 of Marissa, Illinois died at his home on April 30, 2019. Born on February 6, 1979 in St. Louis, Missouri he was the son of Connie Lou Barton and the late George Lewis Barton, his mother survives him.

Michael was employed as a chef and loved the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved to go camping and loved to cook for his family. He spent many years training to become an accomplished chef and enjoyed sharing his culinary talents with friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Brown of Marissa, Illinois, his children Erica Slaughter, Michael E. Hobbs, Jr., Christian Hobbs, Angelina Hobbs, Sebastian Hobbs and Violet Hobbs. His Sisters, Tammy Lou Barton of Marissa, IL, Jaqueline D. Hobbs of Ellsberry, MO, Victoria Elizabeth of Swansea, IL, Jamie Walker of Swansea, IL and Nikki Hobbs of St. Louis, MO. His brothers Benedict Hobbs II of Bethalto, IL and George Barton of Marissa, IL, many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 24, 2019 from 4pm-7pm at Creason Funeral Home, 220 W. Washington Street, Millstadt, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 25, 2019 at 11am. Cremation will follow.
