Michael A. Carte

Michael A. Carte, 80, of Waterloo, IL, passed away at home on Saturday September 6, 2025. Michael was born on July 12, 2025, in St. Louis, MO to Oakley and Bessie (Summers) Carte and his parents precede him in death.

Michael enjoyed playing golf and bowling in his spare time. Most important to him was his family and friends and he cherished the time he spent with them.

Left to cherish his memory is his special friend, Kathy Laub, the mother of his children, Helen Carte; his son, Michael B. (Karen) Carte; his daughter, Julie (Patrick) Duggan; his grandchildren: Johnathon Carte, Melody (Lucas) Montaigne, Cody Foppe, Mason Foppe, Kennedy Foppe and Madison Foppe; his great-grandchildren: Emerson Montaigne and Norah Montaigne in addition to extended family and many beloved friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday September 14, 2025, from 2:00pm-3:00pm at Hoffen Funeral Home, 220 W. Washington St. Millstadt, IL 62260. Funeral service follows at 3:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Ridenour, officiating.
