Marjorie M. Soucy

Marjorie M. Soucy of Millstadt, Illinois passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville having attained the age of 77 years, 6 months and 5 days.
Born in East St. Louis, Illinois, she was the daughter of Prosper C. and Della M. (Hagely) Soucy.

Miss Soucy was an avid dog lover, a teacher at Notre Dame Academy in Belleville for 40 years, a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, the American Kennel Club, the Miniature Schnauzer Association, the Belle-Clair Kennel Club and the Maryville University Alumni Association.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, Prosper Soucy, George Soucy and Oliver Soucy and a sister, 'June' Kolb.

Surviving are her sister, Dorothy Keck of Millstadt, Illinois, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many dear friends.

Friends may call on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Illinois with Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois.
