Lorraine Ethel Jung

Lorraine Ethel Jung of Smithton, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Waterloo, Illinois, having attained the age of 89 years, 5 months and 14 days.

Born in East St. Louis, Illinois, she was the daughter of Frank Edward and Laura Onion, nee Brauer. She was united in marriage to Alvin Paul Zeveski in 1948 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in East St. Louis, Illinois and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1965. She was united in marriage to Andrew William Jung in Belleville, Illinois in 1987 and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2013.

Lorraine was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Belleville, Illinois.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and her husbands were her stepsons, David Jung and Randy Jung; her brother, Frank Onion and her sister, Naomi Hahn.

Surviving are her children, James Zeveski of Smithton, Illinois, Laura (John) Martin of St. Louis, Missouri and Philip (Mary) Zeveski of Mascoutah, Illinois; her stepson, Darrell (Shelby) Jung of Millstadt, Illinois; her grandchildren, Paul Zeveski of Smithton, Illinois, Timothy (Lani) Zeveski of Columbia, South Carolina, Alex Zeveski of Millstadt, Illinois, Travis Bruns of St. Louis, Missouri, Bradley (Jenny) Bruns of Smithton, Illinois, Matthew (Margaret) Bruns of St. Louis, Missouri, Jennifer (Nick) Groom of Mascoutah, Illinois, Thomas (Bethany) Zeveski of Smithton, Illinois and Adam Zeveski of Mascoutah, Illinois; ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows.

Friends may call on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois.
