LaVerne Lucille Hauss of Millstadt, Illinois entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 26, 2015 at Atrium Independent Living Center in Belleville, Illinois, having attained the age of 93 years, 2 months and 12 days.

Born on October 11, 1922 in Millstadt, Illinois, she was the daughter of William and Lydia Mertz, nee Baxmeyer. She was united in marriage to Albert Hauss, Jr. on April 2,1959 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2014.

Mrs. Hauss was the office manager at Mertz Motor Company in Millstadt, Illinois and a member of Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Illinois and ABWA.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, Albert, were her parents.

Surviving are her brother, William Valentine (Marian) Mertz of Millstadt, Illinois; her nephews, Don (Deborah) Mertz of Millstadt, Illinois and Larry (Maria) Mertz of Chicago, Illinois and many friends.
Friends may call on Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Zion Evangelical Church and will be received at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Darrell Weber officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, Illinois.
