Judith A. Merod

Judith A. Merod, 87, of Millstadt, IL passed away peacefully on Friday December 12, 2025. Judith was born at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL on November 22, 1938, to Edward and Esther Buecher. Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth and her son, Keith Merod.

Judith graduated from Belleville Township High School and worked at Boatmen’s Bank for over ten years. She enjoyed playing softball and bowling and was Secretary-Treasurer of Belleville Women’s Bowling for several years. She was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt for many years.

She is survived by her son, Robert E. (Mary) Merod; her grandchildren, Luke and Maddie Merod; her brother, Robert G. (Jim Hastings) Buecher; her sister-in-law Betty Schuchmann in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Hoffen Funeral Home, 220 W. Washington St., Millstadt, IL on Monday December 15, 2025, from 4:00pm-6:00pm and again on Tuesday December 16, 2025, from 10:00am-11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 503 E. Washington St., Millstadt, IL. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am with Rev. Peter Ill, presiding. Judith will be laid to rest at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt following the funeral service.

Memorial contributions in memory of Judith A. Merod may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Millstadt Senior Center. Donation envelopes will be available.
