Josephine Virginia Sanders, of Cahokia, departed this life on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. Josephine had attained the age of 96 years, eleven months and eleven days.

Josephine was a factory worker in a shoe factory.
She is survived by one daughter, Patsy Jones, of St. Louis, Missouri, and one son, Gene Sanders of Texas; two grandchildren, Janice Sanders of Cahokia, Illinois, and Steve Sanders, of Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Jazz Jackson of Cahokia, Illinois, Mark Sanders, of Missouri, Austin Sanders, of Missouri, and Jennifer Sanders, of Mexico; two great-great-grandchildren, Brianna Jackson, of Cahokia, Illinois, and Grant Sanders, of Missouri, many nieces, nephews and friends.

All services will be private.
