John Richard Krause, Jr.

John Richard Krause, Jr. of Fairview Heights, Illinois passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois having attained the age of 85 years.
Born in East St. Louis, Illinois on March 31, 1931 he was the son of John Richard and Helen Krause, Sr., nee Bose. He was united in marriage to Norma Jean Radcliff on June 30, 1956 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in East St. Louis, Illinois.
John was a postmaster with the United States Postal Service, a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of V.F.W. Post 8677 in Fairview Heights, Illinois. He loved to bowl and did so for many years at Midway Bowl, Bel-Air Bowl and St. Clair Bowl.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, Geraldine Krause and Mary Ann Gregory, and his brother-in-law, Zeke Green.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Jean Krause of Fairview Heights, Illinois; his children, Carol (Dennis) Ferrero of Collinsville, Illinois, Gerald "Jerry" (Linda) Krause of Okawville, Illinois, Janice (Dennis) Perjack of Maryville, Illinois, Gail (Jimmy) Korves of Waterloo, Illinois and Michael Krause of Belleville, Illinois; his sister, Lillian Green of Alton, Illinois; his brother, Leroy (Faye) Krause of Fairview Heights, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Caseyville, Illinois. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
