Janet M. Carrico

Janet M. Carrco, 77, of Caseyville, IL, passed away suddenly on Friday September 5, 2025. Janet was born on April 12, 1948, to Roland and Jean McElligott who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom Carrico and her sons James and Jerry Duncan along with a brother, Patrick McElligott.

Janet married her beloved husband, Tom on February 14, 1975 in Belleville, IL and together they raised 7 children. Janet enjoyed many years of playing the organ at church. She enjoyed reading and painting. She was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Caseyville, IL. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Roland (Diana) McElligott, two sisters: Kathy (Ron) Lashley and Linda Richarz; along with her stepchildren: Tom (Vickie) Carrico, Michael P. Carrico, John (Terri) Carrico, Tina (Jim) Thomas and Mary (Dave) Monroe; her daughter-in-law, Glenda Duncan; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren, extended family and beloved friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Saturday September 20, 2025 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 902 S. Main St., Caseyville, IL with Fr. Harold Fisher officiating. Inurnment will follow Holy Cross Cemetery, 9409 Holy Cross Rd. Fairview Heights, IL.
