James "Jim" Lee Hurley, Jr.

James Hurley, Jr., 59 of Millstadt, IL passed away at his home on Thursday September 2, 2021. Jim was born on March 17, 1962 in Centreville, IL to James and Ronnie Jean Hurley, Sr., his father precedes him in death. Jim was also preceded in death by his beloved son, Corey M. Hurley, and his father-in-law, Bob Dailey and his mother-in-law, Ruth Dailey.

Jim married his beloved wife, Robyn Hurley, nee Dailey in 1981, and they began a family. Jim was very hard working and spent 25 years in service as a truck driver for DW Merztke Excavating and Trucking Company. When Jim wasn’t working, he enjoyed tackling projects around the house. He enjoyed road trips and weekend adventures, especially trips to Branson, MO. Jim had a very jovial personality and a great sense of humor; he was a man who radiated kindness to all he met. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Robyn Hurley of Millstadt, IL, his son, Craig Hurley also of Millstadt, IL, his mother, Ronnie Jean Hurley of Glenwood, IA; his siblings; Jason (Tammi) Hurley of Tabor, IA, Nick (Shawna) Hurley, Reese Hurley and Andrea Hurley all of Lincoln, NE; his brother-in-law, Daniel Dailey of Dupo, IL, his sisters-in-law, Melissa (Sal) Dailey Lopez of Florida and Rita Kennedy of Belleville, IL and his grandchildren; Noel Hope Hurley and Abigail Nicole Hurley of Caseyville, IL in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

Visitation will be held at Hoffen Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL on Saturday September 11, 2021 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Funeral Services will immediately follow at the funeral home at 12:00pm with the Reverend Larry Ridenour presiding.
