Irene Mineer

April 2, 1919 — August 25, 2017

Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant, Irene Mineer.
Irene Mineer was given life by her creator and was born on April 2, 1919, the child of Mathias Erwig and Margarete Dietrich. On April 2, 1919, she received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On March 19, 1933, she publicly confessed her faith and was confirmed. She received the precious gift of the Lords life-giving body and blood. She received the gift of a beloved companion in her spouse, Harold. She was blessed with the gift of children, Robert Wekerle of Monterey, California and Patricia Mineer of Millstadt, Illinois. God blessed Irenes life with many special people as she served God in her vocations at home, church, work and in the community. Finally, on August 25, 2017, God blessed Irene with the holy death and took her home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead. Irene was preceded in death by her son Roberts father, Robert Paul Wekerle, her husband, Harold, and her dear friend, Ernie Werner.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our sister, Irene.
