Herbert Marshall Dugan, 92, of St. Charles, MO passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Lewis and Clark Gardens. Herbert was born in Charleston, MO on June 30, 1929 to Henry “Lee” and Clara, nee Robinson, Dugan. He and his wife, Jean Marie Dugan, were married on September 30, 1961 in Affton, MO and they later welcomed four beautiful daughters, Karen Marshall, Margo Dugan, Jeanette Rounds, and Annette Porter. His parents, twelve siblings, wife, and two daughters, Jeanette Rounds and Annette Porter, precede him in death.
Herbert was a family man, first and foremost, he took care of everyone and loved nothing more than to spend time with his loved ones. When Herbert was young, he enjoyed taking his children out on their boat, where they would fish and swim on the Meramec River. He also enjoyed films of all kinds—comedies, war movies, action, and adventure—and was happy to loan out his collection to family and friends. When his health allowed it, he loved to spend time outside, fishing and hunting. Herbert proudly served his country in the Navy and later, as a Sergeant of the United States Air Force, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.
Surviving are his daughters, Margo Dugan and Karen Marshall, grandchildren, Chad (Tabitha) Carter, Shawn (Michelle “Shelly”) Carter, Eric Dugan, and great-grandchildren Drewan Carter, Lailah Carter, and Chad Carter II.

The family will receive friends 10am-12pm, Friday, April 29, 2022 at Fey Funeral Home, 4100 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO, with a funeral service to follow. A graveside service and military honors will be held at 9:30am on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, MO.
