Harold Lee Schaedler, Jr., 49, of Belleville, IL, passed away on Sunday August 24, 2025, in Belleville, IL. Harold was born to Harold L. and Margie (Berry) Schaedler, Jr. and his parents survive. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: James and Mary Berry and Harold and Mary Louise Schaedler, Sr. and his uncles: William Berry, James Berry and Johnny Berry.

Harold grew up in Villa Hills, IL and graduated from Belleville West High School. He worked at various labor positions in the construction trade for many years. He was known as a hard worker with a strong work ethic. In his spare time, he loved to tinker around with cars and bicycles. He would restore the bikes and then ride them around the area. He also enjoyed being outdoors, especially while fishing. Grilling was a passion of his and he will be remembered for the delicious meals he prepared for his family and friends. Harold was the person his friends and family called when they needed help with anything-he was always glad to lend a hand. Harold was a lifetime member of the Delaware Nation Tribe.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children: Kole (Brittney) Schaedler, Sierra (Brad) Meskil, Dasani (Dakota) Gruen, Maleeha Schaedler and Koda Schaedler, his sister, Rosemary Schaedler, his grandchildren: Khloey Schaedler, Kallie Schaedler, Cassidy Meskil and Asher Gruen; his nephew, Jonathan (Madelyn) Schaedler; his niece, Rainii (Hamzah Khan) Schaedler, aunts, uncles, extended family and many friends.

The family will hold a celebration of Harold’s life at a later date.
