George Louis Leitensdorfer of St. Louis, Missouri entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Columbia Rehab and Nursing Center in Columbia, Illinois having attained the age of 88 years, 5 months and 12 days.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 23, 1925, he was the son of John Eugene and Maude Leitensdorfer, nee Gaumache.

Mr. Leitensdorfer was a plant foreman at Anheuser-Busch for 41 years, was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during World War II, a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Brewers and Malters Union.

Preceding him in death were his parents and twelve brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his children, Kim (Scott) Schmidt of St. Louis, Missouri, Lisa Steffen of Highland, Illinois, George (Laura Jane) Leitensdorfer, Jr. of Festus, Missouri, Brenda Lee Moore of Bloomsdale, Missouri and Gail Raven of Belle, Missouri; his grandchildren, Kayla Jackson, Spencer Schmidt, both of St. Louis, Missouri, Marc Leitensdorfer of Alhambra, Illinois, Sydney Steffen of Highland, Illinois, Ann Marie Leitensdorfer of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Bradley Moore of Bloomsdale, Missouri; a special nephew, Joseph Dixon of Arnold, Missouri; his son-in-law, Douglas Steffen of Sheridan, Wyoming, nieces, nephews and many friends.
All services will be private.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
