Gemelia "Joyce" Hale of Columbia, Illinois passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Columbia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Columbia, Illinois, having attained the age of 70 years, 3 months and 26 days.
Born in Rector, Arkansas on January 4, 1947, she was the daughter of Claude and Bernice Morris, nee Bateman.
Joyce was a janitor at St. Louis University and loved to play Bingo on Wednesday evenings at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Columbia, Illinois.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, Bill Morris and her sisters, Joann and Rita Dornseif.
Surviving are her children, Melissa (Chris) Kalbfleisch of Columbia, Illinois and Todd (Dawn Young) Hale of Farmington, Missouri; her brothers, Randy (Debbie) Morris of Arnold, Missouri and Dennis (Pam) Morris of Missouri; her grandchildren, Allison Kalbfleisch, Carter Kalbfleisch, Carson Kalbfleisch, Todd Hale and Keegan Hale, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
