Dorothy R. Feazel

Dorothy Ruth Feazel, nee Ripplinger, 93, of Millstadt, IL, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday December 5, 2023. Dorothy was born on November 30, 1930, in East St. Louis, IL to William J. and Edna E. Ripplinger, nee Touchette and they precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gary Feazel and her sister Virginia Smith.

Dorothy attended Dupo High School. She was active in St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt in many ways including the quilting club and the St. James Council of Catholic Women. She was also involved with the Wagoneers, a square dance and camping club. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend of many.

Dorothy married her devoted husband of 74 years, Richard Feazel on April 8, 1949, in Corinth, MS and he survives. She is also survived by her children: Mike (Sue) Feazel, Mark (Rachel) Feazel, Cheryl (Dave) Totsch, daughter-in-law Barb Feazel, her grandchildren: Chad (Sarah) Feazel, Jason (the late Emily) Feazel, Derrick (Amy) Totsch, Darian Totsch, Christian (Nicholle) Feazel-Orr, Molly Feazel-Orr, Haley (Taylor) Kitasato, Emily Feazel and Annie Feazel; her great-grandchilren: Ella Feazel, Grace Feazel, Maddy Feazel, Max Feazel, Owen Totsch, Maddox Totsch, Graysen Totsch and Oaklynn Totsch in addition to extended family and many beloved friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday December 9, 2023, from 9:00am-11:00am at St. James Catholic Church, 405 W. Madison St., Millstadt, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am with Msgr. Marvin Volk, officiating. Burial will then follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Millstadt, IL.
