David Earl 'Goose' Stafford.

David Earl 'Goose' Stafford of Freeburg, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Illinois having attained the age of 61 years, 2 months and 28 days.
Born in DuQuoin, Illinois on August 9, 1954, he was the son of Charles and Jacqueline Stafford, nee Gaddus.
David was a printer, of the Prebyterian faith and the 'Unofficial Mayor of Goosebottom'.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Surviving are his 'other half' for the past 20 years, Donna Martin of O'Fallon, Illinois; his daughter, Emily Stafford of Louisville, Kentucky; his stepson, Jeffery (Michael Schroth) Martin of Belleville, Illinois; his sister, Charla (Bob) Morton of O'Fallon, Illinois; his niece and nephews, Christy (Tim) Spicer of Shiloh, Illinois, Matt Morton and Mark (Fianc, Lauren Thompson) Morton, both of O'Fallon, Illinois; his close family friend, Marie Schilling of Freeburg, Illinois and many friends.
Memorials may be made to the St. Clair County Historical Society.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is assisting the family.
