Darrell E. Rodemich of Millstadt, Illinois entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at his home following a 4 year battle with cancer, having attained the age of 76 years and 21 days.

Born on August 29, 1936 in Cahokia, Illinois, he was the son of Eugene A. and Lillian A. Rodemich, nee Stillman. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Wiseman on July 9, 1971 in Glen Carbon, Illinois and she survives his passing.

Mr. Rodemich was the owner and operator of Rodemich Greenhouse for 45 years and a member of the Greenhouse Grower's Association.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, Dale Rodemich.
Surviving are his loving wife, Dorothy Rodemich of Millstadt, Illinois; his children, Eugene Rodemich of Millstadt, Illinois, Rosemarie (Don) Coty of Keyesport, Illinois, Raymond 'Michael' Hoff of Marissa, Illinois, Deborah Sherrin of Shiloh, Illinois and Gary (Cheryl) Hoff of Hecker, Illinois; his grandchildren, Eugene Rodemich III of St. Louis, Missouri, Kathryn (Cash) Mitchell , of Waterloo, Illinois, Richard Rutz, Rayonda (Dustin) Montgomery of Millstadt, Illinois, Rachel Hoff of Collinsville, Illinois, Joshua Willmont, Nicole Willmont, Kayla Sherrin, all of Shiloh, Illinois, Danielle Juenger of Peoria, Illinois and Dylan Hoff of Hecker, Illinois; three great-grandchildren; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marie Povilat of Riverside, California, Evelyn Lee of Caseyville, Illinois, Helen (Bill) Wirth of Las Vegas, Nevada, Laura Fitzgerald of Ellisville, Missouri, Joyce Carr, James Wiseman, both of Keyesport, Illinois, Linda Wiseman of Fort Worth, Texas, Sandra Busby of Belleville, Illinois and Joan Wiseman of St. Ann, Missouri, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Friends may call on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M .and on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center Research Center and will be received at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Darrell Weber officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, Illinois.
