Daniel D. Robertson

Daniel D. Robertson, 61, of Freeburg, IL passed away at his home on Monday May 11, 2026. He was born on May 4, 1965, in Pittsfield, IL to Earl and Juanita (Clinging) Robertson and his parents precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patti Sue (Kunkelman) Robertson.

Daniel grew up in New Athens, IL. He married his beloved wife, Patti Sue on April 4, 1983, and they began their family. Daniel worked for many years as a diesel mechanic and as a truck driver for Parrish Trucking and Bollmeier Brick Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed working around the house and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend of many.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Joe Robertson and Tyler Robertson; his siblings: David (Judy) Robertson, Dennis Robertson and Diane Lynch; his grandchildren: Isabella Robertson and Brooke Chandler in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Per Daniel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
