Colleen C. Jacob

Colleen Jacob, 28, of Millstadt, IL, passed away on Saturday September 27, 2025. Colleen was born in June of 1997, in Skokie, IL to Dennis and Kathleen (Callaghan) Jacob and her parents survive.

Colleen grew up in Chicago, IL and graduated from Trinity High School. She attended Murray State University in Murray, KY and graduated with her bachelor’s degree. She later entered the social services field and worked as an adoption coordinator for Caritas Family Solutions in Belleville, IL.

Colleen fell in love with rodeo at an early age. She competed in rodeo in 7th and 8th grades, throughout high school, and into college. She was crowned Miss Teen Rodeo Illinois in 2016.

Colleen loved animals, especially horses, dogs, and guinea pigs. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, and beloved friend of many. Colleen will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Colleen was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Arlene Callaghan, and her grandfather Charles Callaghan, as well as her paternal grandparents, Marion and Joseph Jacob and her uncles, John Jacob, and Thomas Jacob.

In addition to her parents, Colleen is survived by her husband, Logan Kaufmann, whom she married in the fall of 2023; her beloved daughter, Kinlee Kaufmann; her sister, Britta Jacob; her aunts and uncles: Devin (Rob) Harris, Michael (Mary) Callaghan and Daniel (Marilyn) Callaghan along with extended family and many dear friends.

The family will plan celebration of life services at a later date.
