Charles Euen Curtis of Millstadt, Illinois passed away at his home on Friday, November 5, 2010, having attained the age of 78 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Born in Humboldt, Tennessee on June 23, 1932, he was the son of Henry Clay and Dolly (Potts) Curtis. He married Janet Beare in Belleville, Illinois on October 2, 1959 and she survives.

Mr. Curtis was a steel worker for General Steel and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Columbia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Curtis of Millstadt, Illinois; his children, Charles Michael (Nancy) Curtis of Ellis Grove, Illinois, Jeffrey Scott Curtis of Ellis Grove, Illinois; Bradley Keith (Debbie) Curtis of Millstadt, Illinois; and Deborah Bailey of Granite City, Illinois; his brothers, William (Barbara) Curtis of Granite City, Illinois and Alfred (Erma) Curtis of Granite City, Illinois; his sisters, Shirley (Carbin) Elledge of Scoupis, Missouri and Patsy Curtis of Paragould, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Austin Jeffrey Curtis and Melissa (Adam) Duncan; his great-granddaughter, Adeline Duncan, nieces, nephews and many friends.

All services will be private. The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
