Cecil I. Cayton of Collinsville, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois, having attained the age of 65 years, 6 months and 11 days.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 31, 1949, he was the son of Cecil and Marie Cayton, Sr., nee Scheehan.

Cecil was a veteran of the United States Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his sisters, Margaret Rideout in childhood and Geraldine Cayton in infancy.

Surviving are his children, Laurie (fianc, Terry Reed) Cayton of Florissant, Missouri, Dawn Rupert of Kirkwood, Missouri and Tammy Cayton of Springfield, Missouri; his sisters, Kathy (Rick) Crowell of Pacific, Missouri and Maxine (Jim) Tourville of Edwardsville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Megan Shook, Mariah Shook and Marissa Shook, all of Wentzville, Missouri, nieces, nephews and many friends.

All services will be private.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
