Andrew J. Shankley

Andrew James Shankley, 58 of Belleville, IL passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 21, 2026, in St. Louis, MO. He was born on November 23, 1967, in Cyprus to James and Ann (McCade) Shankley, his father suvives and his mother precedes him in death.

Andrew grew up in Ft. Williams, Scotland. In 2014, after marrying his beloved wife, Goergia, he moved to the United States. For a time, he lived in Dallas, TX and worked for the Dallas Zoo as an ambassador to the giraffes; a job he truly loved.

He was a big fan of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, and he loved Prince and everything purple. Andrew was a lover of all animals, especially his dogs. He enjoyed relaxing with a good book and most of all, spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Georgia (Davis) Shankley whom he married in Scotland on February 21, 2014; his father, James Shankley; his father-in-law, Pete Duran, his mother-in-law, Renee Duran; his children: Sharon (Josh) Lynch and Dalton (Jill) Davis; his sisters: Eileen (Carl Nichols) Shankley and Carol Shankley; his grandchildren: Lucas, Andrew, Shawn, Dalton and Preston in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
