Allene M. Caskey

Allene M. Caskey, nee Myerscough, 76 of Millstadt, Illinois passed away on Friday May 21, 2021 in Red Bud, Illinois. Allene was born in Evansville, Illinois on June 9, 1944 to Alvin and Geraldine Myerscough, nee Simpson and they precede her in death.

Upon graduation from high school, Allene attended St. Francis College in Joliet, IL and Washington University in St. Louis, MO; she then worked for many years as a corporate data security administrator. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing and she loved to read a good book. Allene was very generous with her time and talents, serving for many years with the Millstadt Ambulance Service as an EMT as well as a member of the board of directors. She was also an active member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, where she formed many dear friendships. Allene was a devoted mother, grandmother and dear friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Allene was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Hanna, nee Myerscough.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jayne (Steve) Knoebel, nee Myerscough of Maryville, IL and Shane (Bobbie) Caskey of Ballwin, MO. Her brothers, James (Nancy) Myerscough of Smithton, IL, Bob (Sue) Myerscough of Red Bud, IL and her sister, Joy (Victor) Sieberg of Sparta, IL and her grandchildren; Emma Knoebel, Alice Knoebel, Owen Caskey and Benjamin Caskey in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday June 5, 2021 from 9am-11am at Hoffen Funeral Home, 220 W. Washington St., Millstadt, IL. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00am with the Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating.
