William John Cagle of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Illinois, having attained the age of 78 years, 3 months and 26 days.
Born on March 10, 1938 in Houston, Texas, he was the son of James Arthur and Georgia Cagle, nee Bledsoe. He was united in marriage to Juanita Gwin on May 8, 1961 in Bluffton, Indiana and she survives his passing.
Mr. Cagle was a over the road truck driver with local deliveries.
Preceding him in death were his parents, ten brothers and sisters and his brother-in-law, Jack Cole.
Surviving are his wife, Juanita Cagle of Granite City, Illinois; his children, Billy Joe (Sasha) Cagle, Phyllis (Edward) Caldwell, both of Warner-Robbins, Georgia and James Aaron Cagle of Lebanon, Illinois; his sister, Clarice Cole of Lakeland, Florida; his grandchildren, Tasha Nicole Marquis of Warner-Robbins, Georgia, Michelle Lynn (David) Glaspie of Granite City, Illinois, Benjamin Aaron Cagle, Nicholas James Cagle and Georgia Aline Cagle, all of California, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
Friends may call on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor David Hale officiating. All other services will be private.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
