Verna Lee 'Cookie' Jones of Millstadt, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at her home having attained the age of 65 years, 4 months and 17 days.

Born in Johnson City, Tennessee on October 24, 1948, she was the daughter of Willie and Pauline, nee hash, Roberts.

Cookie was a full time homemaker and mother tp her five children.

He was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Violet 'Jerrie' Stevens, and brothers, Willie Rollo Roberts and Joe Ray Roberts.
Surviving are her children, Roy G (Sheila) Guinn, of Georgia, Johnny Guinn of Johnson City, Tennessee, Ronnie Guinn of Johnson City, Tennessee, Karen (Kevin) Early of Millstadt, Illinois, and Martha Churchwell of Salado, Texas; brothers and sisters, Rosa Lee Byrd, Jonesboro, Tennessee, Nancy (Lee) Tyree of Jonesboro, Tennessee, Patsy (Dennis) Draper of Jonesboro, Tennessee, Daisey (Jack) Kessee, of Jonesboro, Tennessee, Jerome Roberts of Johnson City, Tennessee and Tammie (Russel) McCoury of Jonesboro, Tennessee; sister-in-laws, Becky Roberts of Johnson City, Tennessee and Mary Alice Roberts of Bristol, Tennessee; grandchildren, Joseph Early, Samantha Early, Heather Guinn, Chris Guinn, Crystal Guinn, Rhys Guinn, Jacob Lord, Robin (Raymond) Adams, Wanitta Guinn, Victoria Churchwell, Ashley Churchwell and Elizabeth Churchwell; great-grandchildren, Kameela, Imunn Abigail, Braxton and Bratley; nieces, nephews, Little Bear and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a date and time in the future.
The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
