Thomas Watkins Powell

Thomas Watkins Powell of Waterloo, Illinois passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his home, having attained the age of 81 years, 8 months and 10 days.
Born in East St. Louis, Illinois on September 24, 1935, he was the son of Walter Rollins and Edna Edwina Powell, nee Radziejewski. He was united in marriage of Julie Ann Weygandt on March 4, 1990 in Fayette, Ohio and she survives his passing.
Thomas was a press operator in a bindery shop.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were his daughter, Kathryn Denise Morales and his brother, Jesse Powell.
Surviving are his wife, Julie Powell of Waterloo, Illinois; his children, Rachel Dawn (Kevin) Tribout of Tampa, Florida, David Anthony Powell of Belleville, Illinois, Debra Jean (John) Runge of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Thomas Watkins (Kimberly Ann) Powell of Belleville, Illinois, Jeffrey Scott (Jane) Powell of Freeburg, Illinois, Suzzette Lynn Dodson of Collinsville, Illinois, Jeanette Crystal (Christopher) Kulat of Atlanta, Georgia and Blaine Courtney (David) Wang of Chicago, Illinois; his step-son, Joshua Joseph (Jennifer M. Harris) Weygandt of Waterloo, Illinois; his first wife and mother of his children, Gloria Marie Powell of Belleville, Illinois; his brothers, Walter Powell, Steven Powell Hugh Powell, Eddie Powell, Bill Powell, Jerry Powell of Jupiter, Florida, Joseph Powell, Barney Powell and Joey Braun of Belleville, Illinois; his sisters, Irene Smith of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Rosie Feigl of Damiansville, Illinois, Marie Ringtenberg of Belleville, Illinois and Mary Powell of Alton, Illinois; 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Delaney officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
