Terry Martin Helmers

Terry Martin Helmers, 43, of Waterloo, IL, passed away on Wednesday July 20, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Terry was born on January 4, 1979, in Red Bud, IL to Earl and Judith Helmers, nee Doyle, and his father precedes him in death. Terry was also preceded in death by his long-term girlfriend, LaKeitta Richards and his maternal grandparents, Martin and Dardanella Doyle.

Terry lived in St. Louis, MO for 22 years and worked as a welder/fabricator for underwater maritime services. Terry was very proud of the work he did and was known as a devoted, hardworking professional. In his spare time, he loved listening to all kinds of music. Most of all, Terry enjoyed spending time with children, enjoying family get togethers and cookouts. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Judith Radwick, his sisters; Michelle Crawford and Klaudia (Gary) Davis; his nieces and nephews: Nicholas Crawford, Taylor (Mike Davis) Crawford, Danielle (Ryan Hoyer) Crawford, Jake Davis. Josephine Davis, and LaKeitta’s children; Adrian, Poppy and Niesha, in addition to many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

Terry will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, IL.
