Rosemary Arlt

Rosemary Arlt, nee Husman, 84 of Belleville, IL passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday July 21, 2021. Rosemary was born on August 28, 1936 in Waterloo, IL to Steve and Gladys Husman, nee Canliff and they precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debi Moore, her sons, Dennis Arlt and Robert Arlt, her sisters, Martha Husman, Helen Husman and Shirley Husman, her brothers, Steve Husman and Harry Husman and her grandchildren, Timothy Arlt, Ashton Arlt, Milton “Buddy” Stokes and Christian Arlt-Felicino.

Rosemary worked as a customer service representative with Bank of America, ultimately retiring after many years of exemplary service. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling and played with a league for many years. She also loved country line dancing, reading and writing poetry and spending time with her grandchildren. Rosemary was a woman of deep faith and was an active member of Edgemont Bible Church. She read her bible faithfully every day for most of her life.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Penny Boatman of Highland, IL, Dorothy “Sami” Voland of Belleville, IL and Amber (John) Linder of Mascoutah, IL; her brother, Richard Husman of Branson, MO; her grandchildren; Robert Arlt, Brad Boatman, Sally Moore, Robyn Boatman, Matthew Moore, Allison Seip, Ashley Baker, Andrea Arlt, Heather Schaper, Stephanie Kennedy, Lexi Bean, Kaid Eakins in addition to many great-grandchildren and beloved friends.

The family is hosting a Celebration of Life with visitation on Friday August 13, 2021 at Edgemont Bible Church, 5100 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL from 1pm-2pm. Memorial service will follow at 2pm.
