Paul E. Stone, Jr. of Freeburg, Illinois passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 at his home, having attained the age of 83 years, 8 months and 7 days.

Born in Washington Park, Illinois on July 8, 1931, he was the son of Paul E. and Ruth Pauline Stone, Sr., nee Stump.

Paul was a construction laborer, a member of the Freeburg Chamber of Commerce, Laborers Local 100, the Freeburg Jaycees and the Belleville Moose Lodge. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and loved working with the men and women of Local 100.

Preceding him in death besides his parents were his sisters, Betty Becker and Deloris Posey; his brother, Don Stone and his friends, Freddie and Ruby Wiegand, Mickey and Billy Gregory, Charlie Steiner and Wayne and Barbara Childerson.

Surviving are his children, Fred (Marilyn) Stone, Pat (Donna) Smoker, both of Freeburg, Illinois, Kathy (Rich Johnson) Reaka, Barb Wunderlich, Maureen (Mark) Biver and Linda (Greg) Palma of Houston, Texas; his brother, Gordon (Jean) Stone of Casper, Wyoming; his sister-in-lawa, Gloria Stone of Belleville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jason Paul Stone and Katherine Brown, Kelli Lynn Stone and Corey Brower, Shelbie Watts Stone, Mike Washausen, all of Freeburg, Illinois; many grandchildren; Jim Lugge and his family, the very best friend a person could ever have; his lifelong friend, Johnnie Vandiver, numerous nieces and many, many friends.

Memorials may be made to Family Hospice.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at TR's, Concordia Road and Route 158, Belleville, Illinois.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
