Michael Lawson Shelton

Michael Lawson Shelton of Belleville, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at his home, having attained the age of 50 years, 11 months and 23 days.

Born in Bloomington, Illinois on August 14, 1967, he was the son of Chet Shelton and Mary Miller.

Michael was a truck driver in the construction industry.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Surviving are his father, Chet Shelton of Belleville, Illinois; his former wife and best friend, Sarah Shelton of Collinsville, Illinois; his sisters, Loretta (Duane) Risley of Edmond, Oklahoma and Rachael Hazellief of Peoria, Illinois; his niece, Risa Lilly; his great-nephew, Faelan Lucas Naylor and many friends.

All services will be private.

The Creason Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois is assisting the family.
