Michael A. Gondro

Michael Arthur Gondro, 86 of St. Louis, Missouri passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 28, 2020 in Fairview Heights, Illinois. Michael was born on May 26, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri to Michael August and Lucy Gondro, nee Zeiss and they precede him in death. Michael married Shirley Gondro in the fall of 1986 in St. Louis, Missouri, and she precedes him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son, Michael A. Gondro and his sister, Genevieve Keith.

During his younger years, Michael was an accomplished athlete. He enjoyed golfing throughout his life and greatly enjoyed the peacefulness of fishing. Michael loved telling jokes and making those around him laugh. He was also a talented sketch artist and painter and spent much time devoted to his art. Michael was an active member of the Lion’s Club of St. Louis, Missouri. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his former wife, Bobby Bayne of Waterloo, Illinois; his daughter, Lesley (Scott) Paterson, also of Waterloo, Illinois and his niece Patty Osborn of Alton, Illinois.
