Melvern Henry Weber of Millstadt entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at his home, having attained the age of 81 years, 5 months and 28 days.

Born in Lively Grove, Illinois on March 14, 1928, he was the son of Albert and Frances (Luechtefeld) Weber. He married Evelyn Buescher on May 1, 1956 at St. Liborious Catholic Church in St. Libory, Illinois.

Mr. Weber was a teamster, a weighmaster for the State of Illinois and a farmer. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, the Korean War Veterans, American Legion Post 683, St. Libory, Illinois and Teamsters Union Local 50.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Alan Weber.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Evelyn Weber; his children, Mark (Macy) Weber of Houston, Texas, Marilyn (Bob) Braun of Millstadt, Jerry (Lori) Weber of Louisville, Kentucky, Paul (Jill) Weber of Longmont, Colorado and Angela (John) Hiller of OFallon; one brother, Roger Weber of Lively Grove; one sister, Celeste (Ray) Buescher of Nashville; a sister-in-law, Marcie Weber of Lively Grove; his grandchildren, Kyle Braun, Kristen Braun, Amamda Lutes, Andrew Weber, Garrett Weber, Noella Weber, Jack Hiller and Sam Hiller; an aunt, Linda Problys of Trenton, New Jersey, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Friends may call on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Creason Funeral Home, Millstadt, Illinois and from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lively Grove. A prayer service will be held on Monday at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lively Grove with Father Dennis Voss officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded at the graveside.
