Marilyn was a lifetime member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt. She was very active in the church and served as the president of the Council of Catholic Women, formerly the Ladies Sodality, for many years and was also an active quilter. She attended 32 retreats at the King’s House. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary and read the bible every morning. She was a devoted grandmother who loved playing wiffle ball games with her grandchildren in the backyard. She was the all-star pitcher! She also taught them how to play dominoes and bunko. Marilyn loved to bake goodies for her family and was a devoted homemaker all her married life. She enjoyed going to polka and waltz dances with Orville, and they were often found playing cards with family and friends, as well as attending church picnics throughout the area over the years.
