Marilyn M. Farnsworth

July 27, 1940 — January 3, 2020

Marilyn M. Farnsworth, nee Luebbers, 79 of Millstadt, Illinois passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday January 3, 2020. Born on July 27, 1940 in Red Bud, Illinois, she was the daughter of Luke G. and Eleanor Luebbers, nee Buescher and they precede her in death. Marilyn was also preceded in death by her son, Brad Schaefer and brother-in-law David Harris.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 34 years, Allen Farnsworth of Millstadt, Illinois, her daughter, Debra (Phil) Schoup, her sisters; Verlene Harris, Betty Kimura and Linda (Jim) Steiner, and her brother David (Sharon) Luebbers. Her grandchildren: Ian Schoup, Allison (Eden) Rubenstein and Caroline (Alex) Mitchell and her great-grandchildren, Sullivan and Claire Mitchell. Marilyn also leaves behind many beloved friends.

In her working years, Marilyn was a CAD specialist. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, cross-stitching and reading. She loved good food and spending time with her friends and family.

Friends may call from 10am-11am on Thursday January 9, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am at St. James Catholic Church with the Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County.
