Marie Irene Janda of Salem, formerly of LaGrange Park, Illinois, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 28, 2009 at Salem Township Hospital in Salem, having attained the age of 81 years, 6 months and 24 days.
Born on March 4, 1928 in Benld, Illinois, she was the daughter of Michael and Mary (Billie) Nacik. She married Frank Matoush and he preceded her in death. She later married Robert Janda and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Janda was a secretary in research, a member of Highlands Presbyterian Church, the Travelighters Club and Pairs and Squares Squaredancing Club.

Preceding her in death besides her husbands, Frank Matoush and Robert Janda were her parents.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Robert (Beverly) Matoush of Laguna Vista, Texas, Tom (Nenden) Matoush and Linda (Tony) Gallo; her grandchildren, Christopher (Jill) Matoush, Jason Matoush, Nichole (Michael) Kraft and Gina Gallo; her great-grandchildren, Samantha Matoush, Gavin Matoush, Nathan Matoush and Taylor Kraft; a brother, John (Joann) Nacik and a nephew, Brian (Debbie) Nacik.

Friends may call on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon at the Hallowell and James Funeral Home in Countryside, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Highlands Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 12:00 noon at Hallowell and James Funeral Home in Countryside, Illinois. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
