Marie H. Stevens of St. Louis passed away on Monday, December 8, 2008 at Alexian Brothers Sherbrooke Village having attained the age of 96 years, 9 months and 9 days.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 29, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Anna G. (Ottens) Stevens.
Miss Stevens was a secretary for Stove Container Company for approximately 40 years. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death besides her parents were three brothers, Bartholomew H. (Madlyn) Stevens, Rev. Alois J. Stevens and Raymond J. Stevens.

Survivors include her sisters, Catherine E. Stevens, Dolores C. (the late Harold) Fuegner and Frances A. (the late John) Rowland all of St. Louis and one brother, Harry F. (the late Elvera) Stevens of St. Louis, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Marie donated her remains to St. Louis University School of Medicine.

A memorial mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Mike Boehm officiating. In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred.
Southern Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
