Marcella M. Hagene, of Shiloh, Illinois, departed this life on Monday, June 23, 2014, at the Fountains in Shiloh having attained the age of 93 years, 6 months, and 24 days.

Marcella was the daughter of Charles and Mabel, nee Slack, Hubbard. She married Joseph Hagene at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, in 1946, in Washington Park, Illinois.

She was a clerk for the Northfolk & Western Railroad for 38 years. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Moose and the Queen of Peace Sodality.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Thomas Paul Hubbard.

Marcella is survived by her nieces and nephew, Barbara (Michael) Dufford, of Hecker, Illinois. Dennis (Kim) Hubbard, of Belleville, Illinois. and Gerri Richards, of Shiloh, Illinois.; a special cousin, Joe Hubbard; many great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

The family has requested that memorials be given to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, and will be received by the funeral home.

VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 5923 North Belt West, Belleville, Illinois.

FUNERAL: A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church with Monsignor Jack McEvilly officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois. Creason Funeral Home, Millstadt, Illinois, is in charge of arrangements.
